With an interest in animals, especially horses, from a very young age I had always planned to work within the Veterinary industry.

I started work as a trainee Veterinary Nurse in a large mixed hospital practice, where, after completing the RCVS VN training, I went on to qualify as a Veterinary Nurse, many years ago.

Having worked in both Small Animal, Equine and Mixed practices and working alongside several specialists, it has helped to give me a good understanding of the Veterinary field.

I also trained and qualified as a riding instructor, and then obtained the Assessor and Verifier qualifications, which helped me to work at several colleges, teaching, training, assessing and verifying Veterinary Nursing (SA and Equine), Animal Care and Horse Care students.

I ventured into Veterinary sales selling Veterinary Endoscopes for a couple of years and then went on to sell various types of equipment, instruments and products, before moving in to pharmaceuticals with Vetruus.

My 'spare time' is spent with my husband, two children, two horses and one dog, and so normally involves attending the children's sporting activities, competing with my horse, or just having a nice relaxing family walk when we get chance!!

not being a very good cook! I always think it's good to use the smoke alarm as a timer!

Somewhere with a sandy beach, warm temperature and great cocktails!
