BVDSG Autumn Meeting

This weekend we were proud to be a Gold sponsor of the Autumn meeting for BVDSG (British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group), held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Manchester.

Having been a Platinum sponsor of the Spring meeting back in May we were pleased to once again be a part of this event. It is a great opportunity for us to get feedback from both first opinion vets and specialists in dermatology on our products, and of course introduce our range to those who aren’t familiar with it.

There were a number of foreign delegates in attendance, including a few vets from Italy so it was interesting to find out how they have been getting on with Otoact and Before-x, the two new products which we are launching at London Vet Show. Their feedback was very encouraging, especially for Otoact as a follow on product to send clients home with after using Otoprof in-clinic. Following the success of Otoprof with its foaming action I think practices will find it a really useful addition to their cleaning protocol for dogs (& the occasional cat) producing excessive amounts of wax.

The lectures covered a range of topics all relating to Feline Dermatology and they were fortunate to have speakers Craig Griffin, Ross Bond, Kerry Simpson, Anita Patel, Claire Rusbridge and Sarah Heath.  Everyone spoke very highly of each lecture, in particular the first titled “Feline reaction patterns – cats are not small dogs” by Craig Griffin, had everybody discussing at the first coffee break.
